Celebrate with us the Christmas season with fresh 'Lebkuchen', the traditional German Christmas punch 'Feuerzangenbowle', hot 'Glühwein' (mulled wine) or non-alcoholic hot fruit punch, as well as a variety of Christmas cookies at the German Centre in the DRC Liangmaqiao Diplomatic Office Building. For those who prefer a savory snack, we will also serve tasty hot dogs and chilled beer.

At 7pm we will show the 1944 German film classic 'Die Feuerzangenbowle' to create the perfect Christmas feeling. If you don't feel like watching the movie, you can just mingle with colleagues and friends, while enjoying the atmosphere and some more tasty snacks and drinks.

'Die Feuerzangenbowle' (1944), directed by Helmut Weiss
The title refers to the traditional German Feuerzangenbowle punch consumed by a group of gentlemen in the opening scene of the movie. While exchanging nostalgic stories about their schooldays, the successful young writer Dr. Johannes Pfeiffer realizes he missed out on something because he was home schooled and never attended school. He decides to make up for it by masquerading as a student at a small town high school, quickly gaining a reputation as a prankster. Since the 1980s, the movie received cult status and is shown at many German Christmas Parties.

Our Charity Project
The party will be free of charge. However, we kindly ask you for a small contribution to  the migrant workers’ children at Hong Qi primary school in the outskirts of Chaoyang District. About 700 children - aged between 7 and

About the Workshop:
Everyone has a personal brand whether they know it or not. It has a lot to do with your reputation, rapport, trust and impression you leave with others around you, those you connect with on social media and the people in your market. In this way, your ‘Personal Brand’ is nothing new.

However, if you’re not actively defining, developing and marketing your brand in the ways that matter, you may get lost in the crowd. This is where personal branding can be important, because it allows individuals to share who they are and show why they are different from others in their field. Differentiation is crucial to getting your brand noticed.

Thinking about Future Mobility in China, different scenarios are possible. But the development of new energy vehicles will be a big pillar. It’s the trend to own an NEV for the car consumers. On the other side, with the public transportation more accessible and convenient, while new mobility services and solutions like car sharing and car leasing are more acceptable for the consumers, sharing/leasing the car is also the good option for the transportation.

The fast growth of E-commerce presents an attractive opportunity for European SMEs to access Chinese markets, allowing them to promote their goods to a vast market spread across a large geographic area, for relatively little cost.  As the growth of online selling in China continues to reach remarkable levels, it is essential to keep track of the latest trends, safeguard your brand against the risks of pirated and counterfeited products online and develop a pre-emptive strategy that is right for your business.

It is in this context that the China IPR SME Helpdesk, ECOVIS R&G Consulting, Advantage Austria and the German Centre Beijing are inviting you to a seminar and networking event aimed at European SMEs that are developing their online business in China. The seminar will help you to:

•    Understand the ways to enter the Chinese E-commerce market: two types of ICP license, the situation after successfully implementing the ICP regulation, legal and practical implications based on previous examples;
•    Understand ‘cybersquatting’ and how to protect your domain name;
•    Learn how to monitor e-commerce sites for counterfeits and how you can get support from
websites such as taobao.com and alibaba.com to protect your products and brand.
You will receive practical advice from China experts from ECOVIS R&G Consulting and have the opportunity to attend a one-on-one consultation session with the China IPR SME Helpdesk expert to discuss your individual questions.

Manuela Reintgen is Manager of the Business Development Department at Ecovis Beijing. Living and working in China since 2009 she holds a diploma degree in law as well as Chinese and French.
